A Saleshandy Alternative for Recruiters Who Need More Than a Sending Tool
A Saleshandy alternative for recruiting desks: what Saleshandy does well, what it costs, and the four things a recruiter needs that a cold email platform does not do.
Source, verify, score and reach in one place, with every reply tied to the person and the role.

Saleshandy is one of the better cold email platforms you can buy, and it is not close to the most expensive. Unlimited sending accounts on every plan, warm-up and verification included rather than sold as extras, a unified inbox, and a starting price of $34 a month. If your job is to send cold email at volume, it is a genuinely good answer and this post is not going to pretend otherwise. The question is different for a recruiter. A recruiting desk is not sending to companies, it is talking to individual people about their careers, and it has a second job of winning the clients in the first place. Here is where that line falls.
What Instalent does that a sending tool does not
This is our blog, so the honest place to start is with the difference in kind. Saleshandy starts when you already have a list. Instalent starts before that and continues after it:
- It finds the people. AI candidate sourcing searches the open market from a written brief, including people who never applied, rather than filtering a database of company contacts.
- It scores them against your brief. Candidate analysis ranks every profile on the same rubric with the evidence cited, so a shortlist survives a hiring manager's questions.
- It verifies before it sends. Enrichment from multiple sources, charged only when a value is found.
- It runs the outreach and owns the reply. Multichannel sequences that stop the moment someone replies, with every response in the unified inbox tied to the campaign and the profile, where an agent drafts under your approval settings.
- It does the client half too. Client prospecting finds companies that are hiring and the person who owns the req, on the same engine, so the shortlist you built is the opener for the pitch.
- It hands off properly. Two-way push to RecruiterFlow, Greenhouse, Lever and TeamTailor, and the mailboxes themselves can be bought and connected in the Email Store.
What Saleshandy is built for
Saleshandy is a cold email platform for sales teams, and it is a well-specified one. Read on its own pricing page on 23 September 2026:
- Unlimited email accounts on every plan, which is unusually generous in this category and the main reason agencies like it.
- Warm-up and email verification included rather than charged per mailbox.
- A unified inbox for replies, plus sub-sequences and auto follow-ups.
- A bundled B2B database, quoted on its site at 852 million contacts and 42 million companies, with lead-finder credits on each tier.
- Sequences across email plus social and manual task steps.
Its own figures: Starter at $34 a month billed annually or $41 monthly, covering 2,000 active prospects and 6,000 emails a month; Pro at $76 a month for 30,000 prospects and 100,000 emails; Scale at $149 a month for unlimited prospects and 200,000 emails. The company claims 25,000-plus businesses use it, and its site cites 4.6 on G2 across 773 reviews.
Credit where it is due
On pure cost per sent email, Saleshandy is hard to beat, and the decision to include warm-up and verification rather than meter them is the right one. We are not going to argue that a recruiting platform is a cheaper way to send 200,000 emails a month, because it is not.
The four gaps a recruiting desk runs into
1. There is no candidate, no shortlist and no role. The platform's unit is a prospect on a list. A recruiting desk's unit is a person being considered for a specific job. Because the tool has no model of a req, nothing connects the message to the pipeline it feeds, and the answer to "which role was this about?" lives in a spreadsheet or someone's memory.
2. The database is the wrong shape. A B2B contact database is built to answer "who is the VP of Engineering at these 400 companies". Candidate sourcing asks a different question: who has done this specific work, at companies like these, and might move. Firmographic filters do not rank people against a brief, which is why the scoring has to happen somewhere else. We covered the difference in the AI sourcing brief.
3. Only half your outbound is covered. An agency runs candidate outreach and client business development. A sales sequencer serves one motion, so the other is either a second copy of the same tool or a spreadsheet. Client acquisition is now the harder half on most agency desks.
4. The reply is not attached to anything. A unified inbox is a real feature and Saleshandy has one. The question is what the reply is attached to. On a recruiting desk it needs to hang off the candidate, the shortlist and the req, so the next person to open it knows what was promised. That is the difference between an inbox and a pipeline, and it is where follow-ups go to die.

The table is not a scorecard and Saleshandy is not losing it. The two products answer different questions: one is the cheapest reliable way to send a lot of email, the other is how a desk fills a role.
A Saleshandy alternative workflow, without changing everything at once
- Take one live req and write the brief properly: must-haves, nice-to-haves, feeder companies, deal-breakers.
- Source against it in Instalent and read the scores and the reasons before you read the profiles.
- Enrich the top ten and note how many contact details came back verified rather than merely present.
- Run one sequence with a hard stop on reply, and route every answer into the shared inbox.
- On the same day, pull the companies hiring for that role and work an hour of client development off the same engine.
If your sending is already working, nothing here requires switching it off this week. The point of the trial is to see whether the scoring and the client side change what lands on the desk.
Where Saleshandy still wins
Four honest cases for staying put:
- Volume economics. 200,000 emails a month at $149 is very hard to argue with, and we will not try.
- Unlimited sending accounts. Included on every tier, which most of this category charges for.
- Warm-up and verification included. Not add-ons, not metered. That is a good product decision.
- A pure sales motion. If you are prospecting companies rather than sourcing people, almost everything above stops being a gap.
Their deliverability research is also genuinely useful and we have cited it ourselves in protecting your sender reputation.
