1. Overview

This Cookie Policy explains how Instalent, operated by Sacore AB ("we", "us", "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It tells you exactly what we set, why, how long it lasts, and how you stay in control. It complements our Privacy Policy, which covers how we process personal data more broadly.

We have deliberately kept our use of cookies small. On our marketing site we run a single, privacy-friendly, first-party analytics service, and we set nothing that is not strictly necessary until you tell us we may.

2. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. "Similar technologies" include browser local storage and pixels — they serve the same purpose: remembering information between page loads or visits.

We group everything we use into three categories, described in Section 4. Throughout this policy, "cookies" is shorthand for cookies, local storage, and similar technologies.

3. How We Ask for Your Consent

What happens when you arrive depends on where you are:

• EU / EEA / UK (and other opt-in regions): No analytics or marketing technologies run until you make a choice. We show a consent banner with equally prominent Accept and Decline options. Nothing non-essential is set if you decline or simply ignore the banner.
• United States and rest of world (opt-out regions): Analytics may run by default, but you can opt out at any time through the "Your Privacy Choices" link in our footer.
• Global Privacy Control (GPC): If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a binding opt-out of all non-essential cookies and "sale"/"sharing" of personal information. Analytics and marketing stay switched off automatically, regardless of region.

Your choice is remembered so we do not ask again on every visit. We re-ask only if we add a new category or vendor (our consent record is versioned for exactly this reason).

4. Categories of Cookies We Use

4.1 Strictly Necessary (always on)

These are required for the site to work and to honour your privacy choices. They never profile you and cannot be switched off. This includes the small record of your own cookie choice (so we do not re-prompt you), plus standard security and load-balancing technologies provided by our hosting infrastructure.

4.2 Analytics (off until you opt in)

We use a privacy-friendly, first-party analytics service, with data processed in the European Union, to understand which pages are useful and how Instalent is found, so we can improve the site. When (and only when) you opt in, we store a first-party analytics cookie and a local identifier so your visits can be measured consistently. Until you opt in, no analytics run and nothing is written to your device; if you later opt out, we switch analytics off and clear the data that was stored.

4.3 Marketing & Attribution (off until you opt in)

Marketing technologies measure which ads and campaigns bring people to Instalent. With your consent, we capture advertising click identifiers passed in the page URL — Google (gclid), Meta (fbclid) and LinkedIn (li_fat_id) — and may in future load advertising pixels. Without marketing consent, these identifiers are discarded and no advertising technologies load.

Necessary security and load-balancing cookies may also be set transiently by our hosting provider to keep the site available and secure.

6. We Do Not Sell or Share Your Personal Information

Instalent does not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. If you are in a US state with privacy rights (such as California under the CPRA), you can exercise your right to opt out of "sale"/"sharing" through the "Your Privacy Choices" link in our footer, or simply by enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser — we honour it automatically.

7. How to Manage or Withdraw Consent

You are always in control and can change your mind at any time:

• Cookie settings / Your Privacy Choices: Open the preferences panel from the link in our website footer. You can toggle Analytics and Marketing on or off and save — withdrawing consent takes effect immediately.
• Global Privacy Control: Enable GPC in a supporting browser or extension and we will keep non-essential cookies off for you automatically.
• Your browser: You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the site works. Most browsers also let you clear local storage for a site.

8. Service Providers

We keep our use of third parties deliberately minimal, and analytics data is processed within the European Union. We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising (see Section 6). If you would like the current list of the processors we rely on, contact us at jon@instalent.io. Any advertising vendors would be loaded only with your marketing consent.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our tools or legal obligations change. When we add a new category or vendor, we update the version of our consent record and ask for your choice again. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
