Cookie Policy

1. Overview

This Cookie Policy explains how Instalent, operated by Sacore AB ("we", "us", "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It tells you exactly what we set, why, how long it lasts, and how you stay in control. It complements our Privacy Policy, which covers how we process personal data more broadly.

Our website uses analytics and Meta Pixel to measure the advertising signup funnel, subject to the choices and regional settings described below.

2. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. "Similar technologies" include browser local storage and pixels — they serve the same purpose: remembering information between page loads or visits.

We group everything we use into three categories, described in Section 4. Throughout this policy, "cookies" is shorthand for cookies, local storage, and similar technologies.

3. How We Ask for Your Consent

What happens when you arrive depends on where you are:

• EU / EEA / UK (and other opt-in regions): No analytics or marketing technologies run until you make a choice. We show a consent banner with equally prominent Accept and Decline options. Nothing non-essential is set if you decline or simply ignore the banner.
• Texas and New York City: On selected public offer and registration pages, Meta ad measurement starts automatically when our server's IP lookup places you in Texas or New York City. A notice provides Opt out and Manage controls. Analytics is not enabled by this setting. We honour any previous refusal and recheck automatic settings on each page. An unresolved location does not enable this setting.
• Other locations: Marketing technologies stay off until you opt in.
• Global Privacy Control (GPC): If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a binding opt-out of all non-essential cookies and "sale"/"sharing" of personal information. Analytics and marketing stay switched off automatically, regardless of region.

Your choice is remembered so we do not ask again on every visit. We re-ask only if we add a new category or vendor (our consent record is versioned for exactly this reason).

4. Categories of Cookies We Use

4.1 Strictly Necessary (always on)

These are required for the site to work and to honour your privacy choices. They never profile you and cannot be switched off. This includes the small record of your own cookie choice (so we do not re-prompt you), plus standard security and load-balancing technologies provided by our hosting infrastructure.

4.2 Analytics (off until you opt in)

We use a privacy-friendly, first-party analytics service, with data processed in the European Union, to understand which pages are useful and how Instalent is found, so we can improve the site. When (and only when) you opt in, we store a first-party analytics cookie and a local identifier so your visits can be measured consistently. Until you opt in, no analytics run and nothing is written to your device; if you later opt out, we switch analytics off and clear the data that was stored.

4.3 Marketing & Attribution

Marketing technologies measure which ads and campaigns bring people to Instalent. When marketing is enabled by your choice or the regional setting in Section 3, we capture advertising click identifiers passed in the page URL — Google (gclid), Meta (fbclid) and LinkedIn (li_fat_id). Meta Pixel measures selected public page views and completed registrations. It does not receive our registration form fields, names, email addresses, candidate profiles or private dashboard content. When marketing is disabled, advertising technologies do not load or send further events.

Necessary security and load-balancing cookies may also be set transiently by our hosting provider to keep the site available and secure.

6. Advertising Data and Your Choices

When Marketing & Attribution is enabled under Section 3, Meta receives selected website events, advertising cookie identifiers and technical request information. Meta may associate this information with your Meta account and use it to measure and personalize advertising under its Privacy Policy. You can disable this collection through Cookie settings / Your Privacy Choices in our footer, the regional notice's Opt out button, or by enabling Global Privacy Control. Outside the regional setting, Meta Pixel waits for marketing consent. Withdrawal stops subsequent events everywhere.

7. How to Manage or Withdraw Consent

You are always in control and can change your mind at any time:

• Cookie settings / Your Privacy Choices: Open the preferences panel from the link in our website footer. You can toggle Analytics and Marketing on or off and save — withdrawing consent takes effect immediately.
• Global Privacy Control: Enable GPC in a supporting browser or extension and we will keep non-essential cookies off for you automatically.
• Your browser: You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the site works. Most browsers also let you clear local storage for a site.

8. Service Providers

Meta provides the advertising pixel described above and processes its data under its own privacy policy, including international processing. For information about our other service providers, contact jon@instalent.io. The regional settings and opt-out controls in Section 3 govern Meta Pixel loading.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our tools or legal obligations change. When we add a new category or vendor, we update the version of our consent record and ask for your choice again. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
