What is Instalent?

Instalent is an AI talent-sourcing platform built for recruiters. You describe the role you are hiring for - or the kind of company you want as a client - in plain English, and Instalent searches multiple sources to find matching people, verifies their contact details, scores each profile against your criteria, and runs multichannel outreach, all from one screen. It is built by Sacore AB in Stockholm, Sweden.

What problems does Instalent solve?

It replaces the usual stack - a Boolean-search tool, a separate contact-data provider, a spreadsheet and an outreach sequencer - with one connected flow. Recruiters go from a plain-language brief to a shortlist of enriched, contacted candidates without switching tabs, and agencies can prospect for new client companies from the same engine.

Is Instalent an ATS?

No. Instalent is a sourcing, enrichment, scoring and outreach layer that works alongside your ATS, not a replacement for it. It syncs two-way with RecruiterFlow, Greenhouse, Lever and TeamTailor, so your shortlists and enriched contacts flow into the system you already use.

Who is Instalent for?

Recruitment agencies, staffing firms, executive-search firms and in-house talent-acquisition teams. Agencies also use it for business development - finding and reaching companies that are hiring.

How does candidate sourcing work?

You write what you are looking for in natural language, for example 'senior React engineers in Berlin, 5+ years'. Instalent searches across the open web, public code and professional-network signals, de-duplicates the results, and streams back matching candidates you can enrich, score and shortlist. No Boolean strings required.

Can Instalent find recruitment clients, not just candidates?

Yes. The same natural-language engine finds companies showing hiring or growth signals and identifies the relevant decision-maker, so agencies can prospect for new business alongside candidate sourcing.

Does Instalent find candidate contact details?

Yes. It enriches profiles with email, phone and social details, cross-checking multiple sources so contacts are checked rather than guessed. As with any enrichment, coverage and accuracy vary by profile.

How does candidate scoring work?

Each profile is scored against your own criteria with supporting evidence, not just keyword matching, so you can see why a candidate fits before you reach out.

Can Instalent run outreach?

Yes. It runs multichannel outreach as automated sequences with follow-ups, and brings every reply into one unified inbox.

Can users approve messages before they are sent?

Yes. Outreach and AI-agent actions run under your control - the agent can draft and queue work, and you set what it can send on its own versus what needs your approval.

Which ATS products does Instalent integrate with?

RecruiterFlow, Greenhouse, Lever and TeamTailor, with two-way sync. There is also an outbound webhook API for candidate, task and campaign events.

Can I use Instalent from ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini?

Yes. Instalent ships an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, so you can source candidates and clients, enrich contacts, score fit and run outreach directly from AI assistants that support MCP - including ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini - as well as inside the Instalent app. A step-by-step setup guide is on the blog.

Does Instalent have an AI recruiting agent?

Yes. An AI agent can run the pipeline end to end - source, enrich, score and reach out - both in-app and from a connected AI assistant, with your approval controls in place.

What does Instalent cost?

Paid plans start at $99/month (Basic), with Explorer and Pro tiers above it, billed monthly on self-serve checkout and discounted on annual billing. Higher-volume and enterprise plans are available on request. See the pricing page for current plans and prices.

Does Instalent have a free trial?

Yes. There is a 7-day free trial with no credit card required - you sign up and run the full sourcing-to-outreach workflow for 7 days. If you would like longer to evaluate with your team, talk to us and we can extend it to a 14-day trial, still with no card.

Do I need a credit card to start?

No. The 7-day free trial is cardless - sign up and start sourcing straight away. You only add a payment method when you choose a paid plan.

Which countries does Instalent support?

Instalent is a web-based platform available to recruiters in the US, the UK, across the EU and worldwide.

Data, privacy & compliance

Where do Instalent's candidates and contact details come from?

Instalent searches across the open web, public code and professional-network signals, then verifies contact details against multiple sources. It surfaces information that is already publicly available and verifies it, rather than reselling a single private database.

How does Instalent handle GDPR and candidate data?

Instalent is built by an EU company (Sacore AB, Sweden). Customers control the searches they run and the outreach they send, and remain the data controller for how they use candidate data. Instalent provides the tooling to source and contact people; using it in line with local data-protection and platform rules is the customer's responsibility.

Does a human stay in control of outreach?

Yes. You control the level of automation - what the agent can send on its own and what needs your sign-off. Scoring is evidence-based and explainable, meant to support your decision rather than replace it.

Instalent was founded by Jon Jönsson, Founder and CEO. He comes from recruitment and built Instalent to help his own agency win the hiring race before opening it to other teams.
